Learning to use public transportation can enhance the freedom and independence of
citizens of all ages. Students can take Laketran to numerous recreation sites, libraries
and job sites. This not only helps them to become independent, but teaches them
responsibility and environmental awareness.
For adults, access to public transit can reduce or eliminate the need for a personal
automobile. This can help you save money and improve your health by walking or biking
to the bus stop.
Learning to use public transit can dramatically impact a senior citizen’s ability
to remain in his/her home as (s)he ages. In Northeast Ohio, thousands of seniors
choose to ride on Laketran buses rather than fight the icy roads in the winter or
the increased traffic in the summer.
Whatever your reason is for wanting to learn to ride Laketran’s fully accessible
fleet of buses, we can design a program to meet your needs. And best of all, these
programs are free of charge!
